Let's Get This (AI) Party Started

Here's 🥂to the first edition of AI Impact, a new publication for a rapidly growing community.

First, I want to welcome and thank my existing tribe for joining me on this journey. I'd also like to extend a warm welcome to the rapidly growing number of newcomers joining us. Your participation and enthusiasm are truly appreciated!

Since this is the first edition of the only email newsletter dedicated to navigating and dissecting the impact of AI on politics and policy, we’ve got some light housekeeping and basic info to share on what you can expect.

The AI Impact mission statement:

AI Impact is dedicated to empowering professionals in the political arena with the knowledge they need to thrive in an AI-driven world. We strive to deliver unbiased news, insightful analysis, and practical guidance to help you harness the power of AI in your work. Together, let's navigate the future of politics with AI Impact.

Here are the basics:

You will receive 3 emails a week from [email protected], so make sure you add it to your whitelist or drag this first email into your inbox if it landed elsewhere.

Each email will have a few sections you can always count on:

Recurring Sections (in every newsletter)

  1. Policy Pulse: This section will include top unbiased political news. We'll include ~3 bipartisan/nonpartisan headlines, each with a brief, one-sentence explanation.

  2. Artificial Intelligence Illustrated: This will be the AI or political cartoon section. Something fun to break up the monotony.

  3. AI Impact Byte: This section will include a brief spotlight on #AiEthics, a new AI technology, a significant AI study, or a quick fact about AI and its implications. This will help keep you up-to-date on AI advancements.

Plus, a deeper dive into a specific topic based on the schedule below:

Themed Sections (unique to each newsletter theme):

  • Each Tuesday - AI & The 2024 Election (Election Evolution)

    • Candidate AI Quotient: Analysis of how different candidates are embracing or discussing AI.

    • AI Election Forecast: Exploring how AI is being used to predict election outcomes, voter behavior, etc.

  • Each Wednesday - AI & Careers in the Political Arena (Career Catalyst)

    • AI Job Watch: Highlighting new job roles emerging or those roles being threatened due to AI roaring onto the political scene.

    • AI Skillset: Discussing essential AI skills for political professionals and where to learn them.

     

  • Each Thursday - AI & Advocacy/Activism/Policy Influence (Activism Amplifier)

    • AI in Action: Showcasing successful implementations of AI in advocacy or activism.

    • Policy Push: Analysis of policies influenced or shaped by AI technologies.

     

In our commitment to deliver timely, impactful information, we may occasionally send out a special edition of AI Impact. This will only happen when there's important news that just can’t wait. Typically, these instances may revolve around significant breakthroughs in AI, unfolding ethical dilemmas involving AI, or perhaps a major political event wherein AI plays a crucial role. We won’t overload you or waste your time, but we don’t want you to fall behind either!

Who am I? I’m the AiBossLady

Long ago in a faraway land … well a couple decades ago in Arkansas … I started out with data-driven activism and scaled to a nationwide advocacy organization rooted in a deep understanding of both politics and data tech (now colloquially called AI). Today, I'm sought-after for strategy advice and consulting more often than an AI algorithm gets updated.

With AI changing the face of politics and the upcoming 2024 elections, it felt like time to share what I know more publicly. With years of experience at the unique intersection of politics and AI, I'm ready to share my insights and expertise. Whether you're aiming to AI-proof your career or harness AI to elevate your advocacy efforts, I'm here to guide you.
